Colourful autumn festival

We look back with joy on our unforgettable autumn festival in the ‘Gärten der Begegnung’! It was a day full of laughter, creativity, late summer sunshine and cosy fellowship!

Our celebration began with a delicious buffet that left nothing to be desired. From savoury treats to sweet temptations – there was something for everyone. A big thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of the event with their culinary contributions!

The creative activities were a particular highlight. Under expert guidance, our visitors were able to make beautiful batik clothing and let their imaginations run wild. The children also had a lot of fun embellishing clothes and sheets with colourful finger paints. Their shining eyes (and the one or other colourfully stained item of clothing 😊) were the best proof of the success of this activity!

Another project that provided colourful splashes of paint and creativity was the painting of the wooden parts for the new sandpit. Using brushes and paint, we transformed simple wooden planks into a colourful work of art that will soon adorn our garden and is still waiting for hard-working, talented craftspeople to put the planks in place and shape them into a sandpit.

Along the way, flower beds were watered, the odd tomato or raspberry was harvested and eaten, and Arabic pop music by Amr Diab and others could be heard from our meadow stage, to which people danced and sang exuberantly.

This festival was more than just a social gathering. Together we were able to say goodbye to the warm summer and welcome the golden autumn. We are already looking forward to many more shared experiences in the ‘Gardens of Encounter’ and hope that you will all be there again next time!
